TOKOH ALAM SEKITAR SABAH (THE ALL SABAH ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD)
This is the highest award in the individual category and is presented to an Individual, in honour and with deep appreciation of the distinguished, dedicated and outstanding service rendered in furthering the protection and conservation of the environment in the State of Sabah.

OUTSTANDING ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP AWARD
This award is presented to the Chairman of an environmental project who has served with outstanding leadership qualities while maintaining the support, participation and cooperation from the local community in the enhancement of the environment.

OUTSTANDING ENVIRONMENTAL WRITER OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award is presented to a person for his personal efforts, involvement and contribution in the publication of outstanding articles or news in the support, protection and conservation of the environment in Sabah.

THE MINISTER'S SPECIAL AWARD
This is a special award given by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment in recognition of a dedicated individual who with full commitment and concern has contributed selflessly towards a clean and green environment in Sabah.

OUTSTANDING ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY PROJECT AWARD
This award is presented to a voluntary organization for outstanding vision in the planning, management, and sustainable implementation of an environmental project in a local community.

OUTSTANDING ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY SCHOOL AWARD
This award is presented to a school for the initiation, participation and involvement of its principal, staff and students in promoting and maintaining a clean and green environment in its local community.

OUTSTANDING ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY DISTRICT AWARD
This award is presented to a district in Sabah for its outstanding vision in the planning, management, practice, implementation and operation of its district towards reducing impact on the environment.

OUTSTANDING ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY GOVERNMENT ORGANISATION AWARD
This award is presented to a government organization for the outstanding vision in the planning, management, practice, implementation and operation of its activities towards reducing impact on the environment.

OUTSTANDING ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY NON-GOVERNMENT ORGANISATION AWARD
This award is presented to a non-governmental organization for its outstanding vision in the planning, management, practice, implementation and operation of its activities towards reducing impact on the environment.

OUTSTANDING ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY PRIVATE ORGANISATION AWARD
This award is presented to a private organization for the outstanding vision in the planning, management, practice, implementation and operation of its activities towards reducing impact on the environment.

1. Organizations or companies and not individuals must propose all nominations.

2. Nominees for the Individual Category can be an individual, staff of a government organization, and members of non-governmental organizations. Nominees for the Organizational Category can be a private or public institution, residential committee, NGO or government bodies.

3. Nominations are open to Malaysians and non-Malaysians residing in Sabah.

4. All nominations must be submitted on the official nomination forms, which can be obtained from the EAC Secretariat, Tingkat 1, Wisma Budaya, Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kota Kinabalu. (Photostate copies are allowed). Nomination forms can also be downloaded from the EAC website www.eacsabah.org. Interested parties can also contact the Administrative Officer of EAC, at Zahrah.Yaacob@sabah.gov.my

5. Except for the Tokoh Alam Sekitar Sabah Award, which encompasses contributions and services rendered for a period of 5 years, all other awards under the Individual category must be based on contributions for a two (2) year period of 2007 - 2008, ending 31st December, 2008.

6. The Judges' decisions are final.

7. The nomination form is divided into 3 sections:
   Section I
       A - Information on the Nominee (Individual Award Category)
       B - Information on the Nominee (Organization Award Category)

   Section II - Information on the Nominee's contributions and involvement

   Section III
       A - Information on the Proposer
       B - Information on the Referees

8. All nominees are required to submit their completed forms together with a CD documenting all their activities.

9. Completed nomination forms should reach the Awards Committee Chairman on or before 5pm on the 2nd June 2009 at the following address.
